Product Review: Melissa & Doug Wooden Puzzles

Last week I went to Scholar's Choice in a mall close-by, and found a lot of neat puzzles for toddlers. Ryan has been showing an interest in doing puzzles, so I thought I would be on the lookout for different puzzles that he can do. I have some floor puzzles that I do with him - he can't figure out where the pieces go based on their shapes yet.

However, the Melissa & Doug wooden peg puzzles have been an amazing find! They're puzzles that he likes doing and can actually do on his own! He can lift the pieces out and move them around the way he wants to. Also, because the puzzles have the pictures of the pieces underneath, he can visualize where they go. It's super! I ended up buying one at Scholar's Choice, and another at Chapter's the next day. He enjoys doing them himself (although he still likes doing the other puzzles with me).

He likes to call out the names of the pieces too - great vocab enhancer!

I absolutely love that he can see the pictures underneath.

Doing it all himself!

It keeps him calm and focussed for a little while too.

The fire truck is definitely his favourite.
The puzzles I have so far for him are:

  • Transportation wooden peg puzzle
  • Construction site wooden peg puzzle

Product Review: Kiwi Kraze Frozen Yogurt

My friends recently introduced me to the amazing place of Kiwi Kraze, which is a self-serve frozen yogurt place. I've been twice now, and I can honestly say I absolutely love it! While some people complain about the price - it's based on weight - the quality of the yogurt and it's toppings is well worth it!

There are so many flavours to choose from. They have chocolate for lovers like me, and strawberry for the fruit lovers. There's blueberry cheesecake, orange sorbet, french vanilla, cotton candy and peanut butter too! The best part is that the majority of these flavours are all non-fat, which is a great healthy option (as opposed to ice cream at other places.)

Then of course there's the toppings! Anything from fresh fruit, to candy pieces, to brownie bits and Reese's peanut butter cups. There's tons of sprinkle choices, Oreo crumbs, and crushed nuts too. Lastly the sauces are great too. I go between the Nutella and the hot fudge sauce. There's also caramel and strawberry sauce.

The best part for me is that this place is very kid friendly. My toddler loves the yogurt just as much as me, and he also loves the atmosphere in the place. He can colour a picture while I socialize with my friends, or pull up a little kiddie chair with me.

Both times that I've gone to the same location I've found it very clean, well-kept, and the staff was friendly.

I may have found a replacement for Dairy Queen!! (Although I do still love the Blizzards there, so it won't be a "permanent" replacement, just a better choice overall!)

Product Review: Herbal Essences Naked

After using the Herbal Essences Naked shampoo and conditioner for a good three weeks, I can honestly say it's an excellent product. I had high expectations for it, based on being a Herbal Essences user for many many years. It did not disappoint, and I still love using it everyday.

My favourite part is the smell. It's got a minty smell that I just love. It's one of my very favourite scents, and I always feel refreshed after taking a shower.

The selling feature for this product is aimed to be the amount of volume it adds to your hair, without any of the nasty chemicals to do the trick. After using it consecutively for the three weeks, I can definitely say it does give my hair a little more volume and shine than what I was used to. It took a good two weeks to see an improvement (however this could be due to the crazy pregnancy hormones going on in my body right now).

The volumizing souffle also helps to keep my hair both full of volume and shine throughout the day. At first I used way too much and found that it left my hair looking more greasy and stiff - but once I started decreasing the amount I used, it definitely did the trick it was supposed to.

I will definitely keep using this product, and will stock up on it when it goes on sale. Luckily I also get coupons for Herbal Essences products, so that is a huge plus for me!

For this being my first BzzAgent product and review, I was really thrilled and excited to be a part of the experience. I can't wait for the next product!

BzzAgent Campaign: Herbal Essences Naked

I just received my first BzzAgent box in the mail today, and I was very excited! I'm going to be trying out the new Herbal Essences Naked line of products. I have:

  • Shampoo
  • Volumizing Conditioner
  • Mousse
  • 2 Travel Shampoos
  • 3 Travel Conditioners
I'll be trying out these products over the next few weeks and then making my reviews about them. I'll post them on here, on BzzAgent.com, and my twitter.

As a person who normally uses Herbal Essences hair products, I'm looking forward to seeing if these ones are any different, and if they give my hair the volume that it desperately needs!
